The MJR Clarity Method

The MJR Clarity Method is the structured teaching framework used at Dr. Manjiri Rathod’s Classes.

Developed by Dr. Manjiri through her over 20 years of teaching and mentoring experience at different levels, it is a five-step academic mentoring framework that identifies learning gaps, builds concepts, connects related ideas, improves board-style writing and strengthens learning through regular feedback.

It is built around a simple academic belief: students perform better when they understand concepts clearly, connect ideas properly and learn how to express answers in the format expected by their board.

Many students do study. Many even understand the chapter while it is being taught. But when the test comes, they struggle to recall, apply or write the answer correctly. The MJR Clarity Method is designed to identify these gaps and guide students step by step.

1. Map the Gap

Teaching begins by understanding where the student is actually struggling.

Some students have weak basics. Some understand concepts but cannot write complete answers. Some forget during tests. Some lack regular practice. Some are afraid of Mathematics. Some find Biology too detailed. Some feel overwhelmed by the depth of ICSE Science subjects.

Before moving ahead with more chapters, the method first identifies the real academic gap.

2. Build the Concept

Once the gap is understood, the concept is taught clearly.

The focus is on understanding before memorisation. Students are helped to see what the topic means, why it matters and how it works.

In Science and higher-grade Biology, this helps students move beyond textbook lines. In Mathematics, it helps them understand the logic behind the method before solving more examples.

3. Join the Dots

Students often study chapters as separate units. This makes the subject feel larger and harder to remember.

The MJR Clarity Method helps students connect ideas across chapters. Cells connect to tissues, tissues connect to organs, organs connect to systems. Basic concepts in lower classes connect to board-level learning later.

When students see these connections, the subject becomes less fragmented and easier to understand.

4. Write for the Board

Understanding the concept is important, but exams also require correct expression.

Students are guided to write answers using the right keywords, structure, steps, diagrams and scientific terms. This is especially important because SSC, ICSE and Higher Secondary Biology have different expectations.

The goal is to help students convert understanding into clear, board-ready answers.

5. Reinforce with Feedback

Practice matters only when mistakes are seen, corrected and revisited.

Students are supported through revision, tests, corrections, doubt-solving and feedback. This helps them strengthen weak areas and build confidence over time.

The aim is not only to complete the syllabus, but to help students become more prepared, more aware and more confident learners.
